History:

Community Information Network, Inc., also known as C.I.N., began offering prevention and testing and counseling services to the African-American community in June of 1998. As a task force component of UMAC (United Counties Minority AIDS Care) an AIDS Service Organization (ASO), both parties worked together to mobilize the community by promoting awareness and early testing. Unfortunately UMAC closed its doors in 2001, but in response to the needs of the African-American community CIN decided to continue in the mission to provide prevention and educational services on HIV/AIDS by obtaining incorporation and 501(C) (3) status in 2002. Since then CIN has provided services to approximately 20,000 people throughout the Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton counties, and continues in to fight in the war on AIDS today.
